Parent -Teacher Meetings 2022

Thank you to all those parents of new students at the Collegiate for attending the ‘Meet the Teacher’ event in Brayton Hall last night. A relaxed, but informative evening was shared by all.

We are pleased to inform you of the dates of Parent-Teacher Meetings that have been agreed for next term. These will be more formal occasions on which the progress of your child may be discussed with each subject teacher, in the presence of your child. Due to prudent Covid measures, these meetings will take place in classrooms, not in Brayton Hall, from 5.30PM to 7.30PM. Further details will be issued closer to each event.

Thursday 13 January: Year 11

Thursday 20 January: Years 12 & 13

Thursday 27 January: Year 7

Thursday 3 February: Year 10

Thursday 10 February: Year 9

Thursday 24 February: Year 8

Thank you for your support with the recent Movie Night that was very well attended by our younger students. Also, your collaboration with the various collections of Christmas donations for worthy causes is most appreciated.

We again appeal to parents to come forward as volunteers for the BWIC Parent Teacher Association. This is an important supportive body in any school, and one that is especially missed at the Collegiate after the Covid lockdowns. Please do read the letter below and get in touch with us if you can spare a few moments each month to help plan and prepare for those special events we are all used to at high school to supplement, enliven and enrich the education and social interaction of your children.

Michaelmas Term officially ends at midday this Friday, 10th December, from which time your children should be collected from school. The school gates will remain open for an hour, after which access will only be available to the work crew engaged to replace the Brayton Hall roof. For obvious health and safety reasons, we cannot have children on campus with heavy machinery and materials being moved around.

Hilary Term will commence at 8.00AM on TUESDAY 4th January.

On behalf of our Principal, Mrs Wigglesworth, all staff, and members of the TCI Education Foundation, may I wish everyone a safe, happy and holy Christmas and New Year, in the hope that this season of goodwill brings love and union to all in the company of their families.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the school.

With very best regards,

Anthony Wilkinson

Vice-Principal
