Welcome back to School ! Monday Morning 7:55 am

Please see below the instructions pertaining to the start of school on Monday morning at 7:55am.

Form Time on Monday:

All students need to be in school in plenty of time so as to be directed to their homerooms where their Form Tutor will be waiting for them, will take their temperature and sanitise their hands. Students must wear a mask at all times. Each Year group will spend the first two periods with their Form Tutor. Normal timetables will resume period 3 at 9:30am.

  • Year 7TH will initially gather in Brayton Hall with Miss Tatiana Handfield, their Form Tutor and English Teacher.
  • Year 8TC will be with Mr. Thomas Chapman in the Geography room located in Brayton Hall.
  • Year 9NJ will be with Señor Nelson Jimenez in the Spanish room.
  • Year 9CM will be with Mrs. Charlotte Mitchell in the Art room.
  • Year 10NH will be with Mrs. Nicola Haynes in the History room.
  • Year 11MC will be with Mr. Michael Connolly in the Business room.
  • Year 11SC will be with Mrs. Sarah Chapman in the Geography room close to the Biology laboratory.
  • Year 12 and Year 13 will be in the Common Room with Mrs. Lettice Malcolm and Mr. David Scales.

Pre-ordering Lunch:

Mr. Richards will be sending out an email with a link that will allow each student to pre-order their lunch from the school canteen. This will ensure that your child receives the lunch that they prefer. Please note that the form needs to be completed by 11 am, Sunday 12th September. We ask that all your child’s meal choices, for the entire week, be recorded by this time. Please look out for this email.

Although BWIC are welcoming all students back face-to-face on Monday, please be aware that your child is expected to bring a laptop or tablet to school each day. This is an essential tool for the delivery of the curriculum.

COVID protocol:

Please read the attached document carefully with your children. Form Tutors will also highlight its content with their respective Year groups on Monday morning.

Morning Drop-off and Afternoon Pick-up:

Students must be dropped off by the Brayton Hall steps every morning. No parking must take place as to enable a continuous flow. Cars must keep to the tarmac area. At 3:20pm, cars may park as shown on the attached traffic layout concept. There will be two pick-up points: Lower School (Years 7, 8 and 9) at Brayton Hall and Upper School (Years 10, 11, 12 and 13) near Room 6. Younger siblings in the Lower School will join their older ones at the Upper School pick-up point. There will be teachers on duty to direct traffic.

We are all looking forward to seeing our students on Monday.

With best regards,

Mrs Sylvie Wigglesworth
