IGCSE, Cambridge Exams, Yard Sale, Entrance Exams

Next Year Calendar

Today, we are releasing our calendar for the next academic year (2018-19). You will find this below, as well as published on our Facebook page. Please do read it through carefully, taking note of the start and finish dates of each term, national holidays, and the scheduled Parents and Teachers Evenings.

YEAR 9 IGCSE Information Evening

The Year 9 IGCSE Information Evening takes place from 5.30pm on Thursday this week. It is most important that all Year 9 students and their parents attend this meeting, at which details will be given about the IGCSE programme available at the Collegiate next year, and the process for choosing option subjects.

Study Leave for Cambridge Exams

Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level examinations have already begun, with Art and IT practicals already completed, and Spanish speaking exams this week. Study leave for Years 11, 12 and 13 begins on Thursday. All Cambridge examination students have a full schedule of their examinations, from which they should have identified the papers they need to sit, in conjunction with their Statement of Entry. In general, students taking examinations scheduled in the morning should aim to arrive in school by 0800. For afternoon examinations, these students should be in school by 1200. Students will be informed of the start times of any examinations that fall outside these arrangements. We wish our senior students all the very best, and hope that they achieve the results they deserve.

PTA Yard Sale

You are reminded that the PTA has a Yard Sale planned for Saturday 28th April – a great opportunity for students, parents, and friends to have a spring clean and sell off any unwanted items. Please see the poster below.

BWIC Entrance Exams

Our annual entrance examinations took place on Saturday and went very smoothly. It will take time to assess all the papers, and those students that attended were told to expect information from us when it is ready to be released, which we hope will be in about two weeks’ time.

With best regards,

Anthony Wilkinson, Vice-Principal
