Year 7 Entrance Examinations April 29, 2023

Examinations for entrance to September 2023 will be held at the Collegiate on Saturday 29 April 2023. Year 7 (equivalent to Form 1 or Grade 6) is for students aged 11 + years.

The times are as follows:

Registration, By 9.15 am

Mathematics, 1 hour , 9.30 am to 10.30 am

English, 1 hour, 10.35 am to 11.35 am

Science, 45 minutes, 12.00 pm to 12.45 pm

    • Calculators may NOT be used in any of these Examinations.
    • Candidates must register at the school by 9.15 am.
    • Parents are advised to provide their child with snacks and drinks

Registration Information

Admission to Year 7 of the British West Indies Collegiate is based primarily on performance in Entrance Examinations. However, while satisfactory performance in the Entrance Examinations is a minimum requirement, preference is given to students who intend to remain at the Collegiate through to Year 13.

Other candidates for the new school year who wish to be considered for entrance to Years 8 to 11 will be required to sit Entrance Tests in Mathematics, English and Science, by prior appointment with the Principal, on another date.

Candidates to the Sixth Form, Years 12 and 13, will be required to attend for interview.

Parents wishing to enrol children for the new school year are urged to download and complete the application forms and return these to the Principal, Mrs Sylvie Wigglesworth, as early as possible.

Please read the procedure and terms and conditions for registration before applying to the Collegiate. Successful candidates will receive an offer letter and an acceptance pack. Should the parents or legal guardians accept the offer, the principal will invite the candidate for an induction day at the collegiate.

Open Evening

Open Evening is a unique opportunity for current and prospective parents to witness first hand the work of our students. Visitors can participate in Science experiments, relive a period in History, or test their mathematical skills, among other activities.

Due to unforeseen circumstances and a busy events calendar, the open evening has been postponed for the present time. We will post more information when it becomes available.

Sixth Form Open Forum
