Vice Principal Antony WilkinsonThe Vice-Principal of BWIC, Mr Anthony Wilkinson, said that the award recognised the talent, dedication and commitment of both learners and staff. He said: “This is an outstanding achievement for Achsah. Not only did she score 100% in a particularly challenging subject; representing our small school, in our small island state, she has surpassed the performance of students in countries such as India, China, Korea and Singapore who have tended to dominate the field of Mathematics. Achsah is an immensely talented and well-balanced young woman. We at BWIC, and all of us in the TCI, are extremely proud of her success, and the honour and recognition she brings to these shores.”

Achsah will receive her Cambridge Top in the World award at a school ceremony at 2.00pm on Thursday 21st January.

Janet Morris, Director, International Network, said: ‘It is extremely rewarding to congratulate Cambridge learners and teachers at British West Indies Collegiate who have worked so hard to achieve tremendous success in Cambridge examinations. The results are a reflection of the enormous talent in the Turks and Caicos Islands, not only among learners but also within the teaching profession. Learners from BWIC have a bright future ahead of them, and I wish them every success in their future.’
