[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]A RATastic, bubble-blowing end to the year!
Wednesday, 27th June was another Reef Action Team Students adventure out on the water – and we even had some RATs alumni, whom we haven’t seen for a while come back to join us!
We headed out on Chuck’s Mate, with Provo Turtle Divers, at 8am. Captain Art steered us around to Northwest Point and we made our first dive at Thunderdome. (Always intriguing floating around amongst the ruins of the 1990s French TV show!) But heading along the edge of the reef, this site also offers some wonderful wall diving – diverse corals, fish and, luckily for us, some pelagic action too!
After around an hour in the water, we were back on the boat for our surface interval, munching on snacks and chatting about the dive whilst Captain Art moved us along to a new site. For our second dive we dropped into the water at The Crack: a dramatic wall dive with some interesting crevices. Once again we had friendly sharks, as well as a giant moray eel, schools of jacks and a multitude of other creatures to feast our eyes on.
Andre, our guide, and all the rest of the Provo Turtle Divers crew, once again gave us a super diving day – and we all look forward to getting back in the water together in the next academic year too!
