Friday, October 3rd

We have just been given the good news that, following a meeting of Cabinet this afternoon, we have been granted permission to re-open the British West Indies Collegiate campus to students in Years 11, 12 and 13 from Monday 5th October. As foreseen, lessons for these students will take place in school from 0800 to 1300, Monday to Friday.

Permission to open comes after successfully passing an inspection organised by the Department of Education and Ministry of Health. Our school scored 5/5 (the only school to do so), satisfying each demanding criterion set us to plan, prepare, equip for, and manage the safe return of students and staff.

Further details regarding our protocols for the return of Years 11, 12 and 13 students can be downloaded here.

Online learning for students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will continue as normal. We expect to welcome Year 10 students back to our campus on Monday 2nd November, after the half term holiday. According to the TCI Government ‘Return to School’ plan, all other Providenciales students are due to return to school on Monday 4th January. This remains under constant review, however, and we shall inform you of any change to these dates as soon as we are informed.

Parents are reminded, as announced in June, that school uniform will not be a requirement until January.

NATIONAL HOLIDAY

Please be aware that Monday 12th October, is National Heritage Day. There will be no classes, online or on campus, that day.

With best regards,

Mr Anthony Wilkinson

Vice-Principal
