We would like to inform you of the schedule now in place for the end-of-year exams for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.

As indicated in the annual school calendar, and in the recent reminder, these examinations will take place from Wednesday 31st May to Tuesday 6th June inclusive.

There will be two examinations per day, beginning at 8.00AM and at 10.30AM respectively. With the exception of practical assessments, the main exams will be formal, sit-down tests and will take place in Brayton Hall (for Years 7, 8, 9) or the Common Room (for Year 10).

Some subjects have supplementary assessments that will take place in class during the week before, e.g. English, Music, Spanish, Art, IT. Your child will have been informed of these. We have inserted a PE session into the schedule for each year group – please ensure that your child comes properly equipped and hydrated for this.

Over the five days of the end-of-year exams, school will finish at 12.30 PM. All students must have been collected from the premises by 1.00 PM. Thank you for making arrangements to do so.

Mr. Haynes, Key Stage 3 Coordinator, has made available a set of study tips, as well as a countdown calendar, to enable students to devise and organise their revision more appropriately. Your child’s teachers will be sharing these in class if they have not already done so.

We thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.
Best regards,
Anthony Wilkinson, Vice-Principal
