April 26- Start of Week 1

This is to remind you all that this week, beginning this morning, is WEEK ONE, and only GROUP A students will attend face-to-face classes at school. GROUP B students will remain at home this week and follow their timetabled classes online.

Parents are reminded that no child must come to school if they are feeling at all unwell. They should see the family doctor, be tested for Covid if necessary, and remain at home until they have fully recovered. This is not optional.

We must also insist that if you need to visit the school during the day for any reason, you must telephone to make an appointment (331-3331). We regret that forgotten items, lunches/drinks/snacks may not be dropped off for delivery to your child. Thus is to lower the risk of any contagion and to keep our school community safe. Please respect this rule.

We have kept you updated on information received from Cambridge Assessment International Education, which has evolved in recent weeks. It is now well known that there will be no IGCSE of AS/A-level examinations for our students this year. Instead, teachers have from 18th May to 16th June to upload School Assessed Grades to Cambridge, based on three pieces of student evidence. Please note that it is incorrect to assume that our examination students will be free from 18th May. In addition, schools have been notified by Cambridge that we are not permitted to share any grades for student evidence or for School Assessed Grades.

Finally, a reminder that all requests for transcripts and/or references must be made in writing to the Principal.

Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.

With best regards,

Mr Anthony Wilkinson

Vice-Principal
