BWIC Reef Action Team (RATs!)

2018 British West Indies Collegiate Reef Action Tream (RATS)
What is RATs? The Reef Action Team (RATs) is a group of students of the British West Indies Collegiate, who are passionate about exploring, protecting, and preserving the marine and coastal environment of the Turks and Caicos Islands. The RATs is part of the Friday extra-curricular activity programme. Over the last five years they have been privileged to work alongside the Turks and Caicos Reef Fund, DECR, Amanyara and Big Blue Unlimited while taking part in beach, reef and wetlands cleanups, environmental presentations, mooring/knot tying lessons, Open Water and Advanced Scuba diving training and have stood alongside filmmaker and conservationist Rob Stewart and explorer and ocean advocate Fabien Cousteau in educating the community about the importance of sharks and the ocean.
