Congratulations to Charlie Downes, Maya Lopes-Wilson, Jay Scott and Tristan Grandsire who represented the TCI in an international optimist sailing regatta in choppy seas in the Bahamas over the weekend.

HURRICANE MATTHEW

BWIC will be making campus preparations this afternoon ahead of Hurricane Matthew. School will close today at the normal time of 3.20pm. We ask that ALL children are collected by 3.30pm as staff need to get home to prepare their own homes before the winds and rain arrive.

The school will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, in line with TCI Government instructions. Please remain alert to further advisories regarding re-opening.

CANCER WALK

BWIC had over 40 students participate in Saturday’s cancer walk. Congratulations to them for their concern and collaboration, and thanks to Mrs Haynes for organising this.

LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

Fifteen BWIC students from years 8 to 11 participated in a leadership and empowerment workshop offered by Outreach Turks and Caicos at Beaches on Friday. It was a very practical, fun and thought-provoking event which everyone who attended will benefit from enormously. Congratulations to all involved.
