MORNING TRAFFIC

Please remember that we are currently trialing a new student drop-off system in the mornings at British West Indies Collegiate. This was detailed in a letter to you on Thursday, taken home by all students.

Friday morning traffic was a lot smoother, with no hold-up inside school grounds, and less of a tailback heading back up Venetian Road to Leeward Highway, with more families setting out a little earlier to ensure a punctual arrival at school.

We thank you for your collaboration in making our school a safer place for drivers and pedestrians.

RETURN TO SCHOOL UNIFORM

With the welcome news from Fortis and Provo Water that re-connections to electricity and water supplies on island are moving at pace, we invite those families that are able to send their children to school in correct uniform from Monday.
We are aware that not all British West Indies Collegiate families are able to enjoy these basic services yet. Should laundry continue to be a problem for you, student uniform will remain optional until normal services return.

INTERNET & TELEPHONE SERVICE

We remind you that, due to Hurricane Irma, we are still without telephone and Internet services at school. For the moment, staff may be reached at their private cellphone numbers; however, please understand that, since about half our teachers are still without basic services at home, not all emails can be acknowledged or answered.

We look forward to Flow prioritising their repair and re-connection services for us on Venetian Road so that we can return to normal provision of all communications and classes at the Collegiate.
