Here is an update of BWIC news for this week…

 

CARIFTA GAMES

Congratulations to the BWIC students who have been selected to represent the TCI at this year’s CARIFTA games.

Alexis Anara (Yr 9) and
Bryana Brown (Yr 12) will participate in the athletics event to be held in the Bahamas.

Caylen Castillo (Yr 7),
Lillian Taylor (Yr 7),
Georgia Greatrex (Yr 9),
Alex MacLaren (Yr 10) and
Jack Parlee (Yr 11) will all participate in the swimming event to take place in Jamaica.

Football in Trinidad

Congratulations to

Carson Greatrex (Yr 7) and
Thomas Stephens (Yr 9), reported in the press this weekend to have been selected to participate in the Manchester United Soccer School to be held in Trinidad.

BWIC Symphony Orchestra March 21

I am sure you will ALL like to join us on the evening of Wednesday 21st March when our talented musicians perform in the BWIC Symphony Orchestra concert at 6.45PM in Brayton Hall. Mark the date and come early to get the best seats! See the poster above.

Parents’ Evening March 22

There will be Parents’ Evening for Years 12 and 13, beginning at 5.00PM on Thursday this week (22nd March). Our students have received an appointment sheet for your convenience.

Open Evening and Entrance Exams

Parents of prospective students should be aware of two important dates coming up: firstly, we have our annual Open Evening on Wednesday 18th April from 5.00 – 7.00PM; secondly, our Entrance Exams, for students wishing to be admitted to the Collegiate in September, will take place on Saturday 21st April. Candidates should now register with Ms Bain, School Secretary.

PTA Yard Sale April 28

The PTA are organising its next Yard Sale, due to take place in the Collegiate grounds on the afternoon of Saturday 28th April. See the poster below.

End of Term

Parents are reminded that the current term ends at 12.00PM midday on Friday this week. Reports will be issued to students at that time. Trinity Term begins on Monday 9th April.
