The Royal Society of Biology in the UK is holding its annual Biology Week this week,  Saturday 8th – Sunday 16th October  (https://www.rsb.org.uk/get-involved/biologyweek). BWIC is proud to be part of this initiative and has a range of fun and educational activities organised for its students which will take place in class and during breaks.

YR 11 PARENTS’ EVENING

The Year 11 Parents’ Evening takes place on Thursday this week (13th October), beginning at 5.00pm in Brayton Hall. Yr 11 students must attend with their parents.

We are re-introducing an appointment system, based on five-minute slots, so that both parents and teachers may make more efficient use of their time. The system has been explained to students, who have your copy of the appointment sheet. They now need to speak with each of their teachers to arrange a mutually convenient appointment time for each interview.

Should any parent need more than five minutes to discuss their child, please phone Ms Bain in the School Office to arrange an appointment during the school day.

FROM THE PTA

The PTA and the Collegiate are working more closely with the concession holder of the school canteen to provide a healthier range of drinks and snacks for all students.
CORRECTION – The movie event for students will take place on Wednesday 19th October.
