Entrance Examinations

Examinations for entrance to Years 6 and 7 in September 2018 will be held at the Collegiate on Saturday 23 Mar 2019.

The times for Entrance Examinations are as follows:

There are only a limited number of places available.  Parents must contact the school in advance to register their child either by telephone on 232 3331, or by email at

Admission to  Year 6 or Year 7 of the British West Indies Collegiate is based primarily on performance in Entrance Examinations. However, while satisfactory performance in the Entrance Examinations is a minimum requirement, preference is given to students who intend to remain at the Collegiate through to Year 13.

Parents of perspective students should note that the majority of Year 6 students progress to Year 7, and so the number of places available to new Year 7 students is limited. Parents should strongly consider starting their child in Year 6.

Other candidates for the new school year who wish to be considered for entrance to Years 8 to 11 will be required to sit Entrance Tests in Mathematics, English and Science, by prior appointment with the Principal, on another date.

Candidates to the Sixth Form, Years 12 and 13, will be required to attend for interview.

Parents wishing to enrol children for the new school year are urged to download and complete the following application forms and return these to the Principal, Mrs Sylvie Wigglesworth, as early as possible.
